You should really set out a promotional campaign with a very set idea in mind. When you add promo products to the mix you need to make sure they fall in line with the goals of the rest of that campaign. You can use a theme to your advantage if your business is attending a convention or trade show.
Plan ahead of time. If you can make a t-shirt design with a witty pun about the event, it’ll be a big hit. People love it when you are actively participating, especially if they can bring home event-specific gear as tokens for attending. you may want to look up contract screen printing and have the t-shirts mass produced so that there’s enough to go around to drum up some attention.
Same goes for any visors, toys, and random office goodies you use as handouts. Make sure they all stick with the slogan you choose or that they are relevant to the convention in some way.
The more clever you are with your theme, the more effective these will be in reminding people why they should pick your service. Just make sure you back-up the free goodies with plenty of substantial company info and some sort of useful exhibit or Q&A session. Otherwise it’s all for moot.
